Blueberries aren’t actually Blue.

Blueberries are not actually blue, but deep purple, which is the color of anthocyanin, a pigment that is especially rich in blueberries. Anthocyanins are very useful in combating inflammation. A good rule to follow is, the darker the berry, the more anthocyanins are present.


Blueberries are sweet, nutritious, and wildly popular. These berries are very rich in antioxidants, which protect your body from free radicals. Free radicals are unstable molecules that can damage your cells and contribute to aging and diseases, such as cancer.
