Innate Immunity

Innate Immunity is a non-specific immune response and represents the inherent capability of the organism to offer resistance to diseases. It consists of the defenses against infection that are ready for immediate activation prior to the attack by a pathogen. The main barriers that constitute innate immunity are skin, mucous membrane, and acidity of the stomach.
