T cells or T Lymphocytes

T cells or T lymphocytes are the types of lymphocytes that originate in the bone marrow but migrate to thymus to complete their maturation process. They are called T cells because they mature in the thymus from thymocytes. T cells do not make antibodies but help in eliminating antigen presenting cells, cancer cells, virus-infected cells or grafts which have altered self-cells.
